October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we would like to show our support for everyone who is fighting this disease by having a Wear Pink Day on Friday, October 21st.

Red Ribbon Week is a nation wide effort to bring awareness about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and also to talk about bullying. The themes for this year at PELC are:
Monday--Pajama Day~because we want to put drugs and bullying to sleep
Tuesday--Nerd Day~because we are too smart to do drugs or be bullies
Wednesday--Twin Day~because two heads are better than 1 when dealing with drugs and bullies
Thursday--Blast from the Past Day~because we want to make drugs and bullying a thing of the past
Friday--Spook Day~because we want to scare away drugs and bullies
Picture Re-take Day
Date: Wed. October 26th
*Order forms are in the main office
*If pictures were already purchased on the first picture day--students must bring that entire packet on re-take day to exchange.
Breakfast with the Principal
As a PBIS incentive for demonstrating responsible PAWSitive behavior, classroom teachers nominated a student from each class in grades 5K-6th to be entered into a drawing for the month of September. One student from each grade was then chosen to have Breakfast with Mrs. Collins!!
