Referendum Question 1: Build an Addition, Renovate, and Repair the Existing Middle/High School

The first question asks District voters to approve spending $33.2 million to expand and fully remodel the existing Peshtigo Middle/High School Building, which serves students in 7th through 12th grade.

New South The renovation plan honors the legacy of the Peshtigo School District Middle/High School and will preserve the historical elements of the building while adding 25,000 square feet and renovating the existing building to "like-new" condition.
New West
The proposed building plan includes a 25,000 square foot addition for general education classrooms and to expand the technical education manufacturing, construction, and trades areas. Additions in the physical education/ athletics area include a two-station gym, a weight fitness room, additional gym seating, and a girls’ locker room expansion. 
Media Center After
A new modernized student commons area will create space for small and large group learning instruction important in modern educational practices. 
Gym Performance Setup
Other upgrades include acoustic improvements to assembly space to support choir and band concerts and other events; building entrance security and safety improvements; heating and cooling repairs and replacements; electrical upgrades; wall, floor, casement, and window finishes throughout the building; other upgrades to address life safety code issues; and update infrastructure throughout.

Referendum Question 2: Improve Adjacent District-Owned Land The second question asks voters to spend $1.825 million to develop the property west of Peshtigo Elementary School to support the District’s physical education, athletic and extracurricular needs as well as provide green space for community use.

Campus Plan

The undeveloped property located west of the Peshtigo Elementary School be developed for community use fields to support district physical education, athletics and extra-curricular needs as well as provide green space for community use.

Improvements proposed in the question include:

 

• Two multi-purpose community use athletic fields

• Drives connecting to Park Drive and Lake Street on east and west sides of the site

• Minimum of 30 parking spaces

• Outbuilding for storage needs and public toilets

• Irrigation system for both fields

• Bleacher seating for 300 including sidewalks for handicapped accessibility/access

• Signage at entrances

• General safety and security lighting
