Parents and families are students' first teachers and play an irreplaceable role in the education of their children. Teachers, counselors, interventionists and other support staff welcome input from parents. One way to provide input is through Parent-Teacher Conferences, which will be held during twice during the school year, in fall and spring, for all K-12 students and their families.
The conferences serve many purposes. They give teachers and other school staff a chance to provide progress updates and provide two-way dialog and communication. The conferences supplement report cards, share successes, discuss problems and help families be aware of what and how their child(ren) may be doing in school.
The need for a conference may arise at any point during the school year. The biannual conferences are not the only time families can connect with teachers and staff. Families and teachers can schedule a conference at any time at which they mutually agree. Families can find their teachers' contact information on our Staff Directory.
