The Peshtigo School District Building & Grounds Department oversees a close campus of buildings and athletic facilities serving the academic, arts and athletic needs of K-12 students and staff. Buildings include the Peshtigo Early Learning Center (PELC) and Peshtigo Middle/High School, which are surrounded by the Peshtigo River and designated wetlands.
Peshtigo Middle/High School was originally built in 1936 and had renovations, additions and building upgrades in 1959, 1965, 1983 and 2006. Peshtigo Elementary School was originally built in 1967 and had renovations, additions and building upgrades in 1987, 1993 and 2005.
The close campus allows Buildings & Grounds staff to maximize efficiency and effectively manage the district’s facilities. The team is diligent about maintaining our buildings' assemblies, HVAC and all equipment. An August 2020 facilities study by Performance Services, Inc. identified a multitude of aging facilities and equipment issues that need to be addressed. The district has been engaging with the community about facilities priorities and solutions and will continue to look for an acceptable solution that needs the future needs of our students, families, staff and community stakeholders.
